In time Mr. Sasso advanced to journeyman electrician, master electrician, and ran his electrical contracting business for over six years. Setting his sights higher, he desired to be an electrical inspector. This was soon realized and he worked for many government agencies. He is certified as an electrical inspector and an electrical plans examiner. He worked as a Chief Electrical Inspector, supervising a group of 10 electrical inspectors in the height of Florida's building boom. Nick Sasso has received the highest certifications in his field, including the highly coveted Chief Electrical Code Analyst certificate, and the Electrical Code Official certification from theInternational Code Council. Due to his strong credentials and a willingness to serve, he was appointed to the Florida Building Code Administrators Board in 2005, by Governor Jeb Bush. He was subsequently reappointed by Governor Charlie Crist. Nick Sasso currently works as an electrical plans examiner. In 2014, he was appointed to Code Panel 5 (grounding and bonding) for the National Electrical Code. In 2019, Nick was appointed to Code Panel 9 (switchboards and panelboards) for the National Electrical Code.
